Mission Statement
“St. Anthony Catholic Church is a culturally rich, engaged parish, that evangelizes and forms disciples by nurturing an encounter with Christ.”
Parish Long-Term Goals
(STATED June 13, 2005)
Whereas St. Anthony Parish has been a viable, loving Catholic Community for 100 years, we, as the People of God, dedicate ourselves to focusing on the following:
-
Inviting everyone into the Catholic Story (Welcome)
- Expand the Welcome Committee to invite new members into fuller participation.
- Provide a Greeter ministry at all Masses to cordially welcome everyone.
- Foster community building within existing groups.
- Invite and integrate the life of diverse groups, the disabled, the poor and disenfranchised.
-
Sharing the Catholic Story (Catechesis)
- Explore and implement Whole Community Catechesis.
- Revitalize Small Groups of Catholics for study, prayer, common support and service.
- Partner catechesis with Sunday Liturgies.
-
Living the Catholic Story (Stewardship)
- Empower the community to share gifts of time, talent, and treasure within the parish community and within the community at large.
- Equip each ministry with people and necessary resources to fulfill their God-given purpose.
- Enable a lay leadership network to facilitate communication, mutuality and unity.
