Mission Statement

“St. Anthony Catholic Church is a culturally rich, engaged parish, that evangelizes and forms disciples by nurturing an encounter with Christ.”

Parish Long-Term Goals

(STATED June 13, 2005)

Whereas St. Anthony Parish has been a viable, loving Catholic Community for 100 years, we, as the People of God, dedicate ourselves to focusing on the following:

  1. Inviting everyone into the Catholic Story (Welcome)

    1. Expand the Welcome Committee to invite new members into fuller participation.
    2. Provide a Greeter ministry at all Masses to cordially welcome everyone.
    3. Foster community building within existing groups.
    4. Invite and integrate the life of diverse groups, the disabled, the poor and disenfranchised.
  1. Sharing the Catholic Story (Catechesis)

    1. Explore and implement Whole Community Catechesis.
    2. Revitalize Small Groups of Catholics for study, prayer, common support and service.
    3. Partner catechesis with Sunday Liturgies.
  1. Living the Catholic Story (Stewardship)

    1. Empower the community to share gifts of time, talent, and treasure within the parish community and within the community at large.
    2. Equip each ministry with people and necessary resources to fulfill their God-given purpose.
    3. Enable a lay leadership network to facilitate communication, mutuality and unity.
