“Remain here and keep watch with me.” (Matt 26:38)

Here at St. Anthony Parish, our 1st Friday observance commences with Mass at 7:30 pm, followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. An overnight vigil is kept, which closes with the Blessed Sacrament being reposed at the conclusion of Morning Prayer. We have observed this worship in the parish for many years and as you may be aware, whenever the Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the altar there should be a minimum of two people present at all times. Therefore, we are asking for a commitment of at least one hour during the night from those who are willing to spend some personal time with Jesus, most especially between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 4:00 am.

An hour of your time dedicated to the Lord is time very well spent in thanksgiving for what He has given to us - our salvation and His sacred presence among us in the Blessed Sacrament. It is His desire to remain with us, and for us to remain with Him, in this sacrament of love and thanksgiving.

Let it ever be our desire also!
