Open to adults and to children in 4th grade and above to assist the priest during mass.
Children's Liturgy of the word
The goal of the volunteers of this ministry is to break open the Scriptures for our children in a way that will help them relate the Scriptures to their own lives. Adult volunteers must enjoy teaching children for short periods of time. Training provided.
Environmental Arts
Volunteers work to create an environment that enhances our liturgies. Tasks involve planning, design, sewing, decorating, banners and flowers.
Eucharistic Ministry at Mass
Minister the Body and Blood of the Lord to the faithful at Mass. This ministry needs an attitude of service and respect for the Eucharist. Open to all confirmed, practicing Catholics. Training provided.
Healing Prayer Team: Mary Ann Smith 425-255-3132 x2238
Individuals are trained by FHM (Formation of Healing Ministry) to meet and pray for individuals seeking healing.
Lectors
Ministers proclaim the word of God to the assembly. Lectors must be able to read well and be clearly understood. Open to any fully initiated, practicing Catholic. Training provided.
Liturgical Commission: Bryce Brown (chair) 425-255-3132
The Liturgical Commission is a consultative body to the Liturgy Director, with the purpose of helping to develop policies, goals, and guidelines for the parish liturgical program and for our liturgical celebrations. Prospective members are selected by the chairperson, the Liturgy Director, and the pastoral representative.
Music (Choir - Instrumental Musicians)
Lead the assembly's sung prayers. Singers and instrumentalists are needed for all the choirs. Contemporary, Family, Filipino, Folk, Spanish and Traditional.
Cantoring & Organ/Piano
The cantor leads the assembly in sung prayer; the pianist accompanies the sung prayer of the assembly. Participants in this ministry help to make our liturgies possible and to foster the spiritual and prayer lives of our faithful. Usually cantors come from one of the choirs of our parish. Training provided.
Perpetual Adoration:
The goal is to have a constant daily vigil of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Each participant commits a specific hour once a week.
Ushers-Greeters/Hospitality
Ministers of hospitality serve at Mass by greeting the faithful as they are arriving, by seating people before the beginning of Mass and at appropriate points of the liturgy, by taking up the collection, and by distributing bulletins at the end of Mass. Training is provided.
