Religious Education for Adults

Infant Baptism Preparation

Parents are required to attend two sessions held on Friday evenings. These sessions will explore the meaning and history of Baptism and the responsibility of the parents to pass on the faith to their children. The parents and godparents then attend a Saturday morning rehearsal on the weekend of the Baptism. The Baptism is celebrated during mass with the Parish family. These are held on the last weekend of the month except for December and March. Call in advance to schedule a preparation session and ceremony date.

Marriage Preparation

A six-week Marriage preparation class is available for couples planning on living a Sacramental marriage In the Catholic Church. The six topics covered are: Personality, Communication & Conflict resolution, Finance, Spirituality, Sexuality, and Marriage as a Sacrament.

Call six months in advance to ensure adequate time for marriage preparation.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA.)

RCIA is the process for adults to join our Catholic family. Sessions are held on Monday evenings beginning in mid-September and lasting through Pentecost (mid-May). Serving as an RCIA Sponsor is the perfect opportunity to walk the journey of conversion in welcoming new members into our community.

Returning Catholic Program

Scripture Study

Two wonderfully enriching sessions are offered on Tuesday’s. Call to join. The morning group studies the Sunday readings. They meet from 9:30 to 11 in the Fr. Lane Atrium. Our evening group is studying the 2nd Part of “Israel’s Story”, a look at the history and culture of scriptural Israel. Group facilitators enrich the process of conversion in reflecting on sacred scripture, faith sharing, prayers and fellowship. For more information call Mike Borte at 425-277-6205.



Faith Formation Commission

Sacramental Preparation Teams
